Your first class is free
Ki Aikido is the practice of a calm mind and a coordinated body. Non-competitive, partner-based, and open to beginners. Come and feel it.
- When
- Wednesday 7:30–9:30 PM · Friday 6:00–8:00 PM
- Where
- 332 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland
- Who
- Beginners welcome — no experience or fitness level needed
We are a registered New Zealand charitable trust (CC64768), here to advance education and community benefit through the teaching and practice of Ki Aikido. That is why the first class is free.
How to prepare
- Arrive 15 minutes early to change and receive a short introduction.
- Wear comfortable, loose clothing — track pants and a t-shirt work well.
- Training is barefoot. Bring slippers for off the mat.
- Remove jewellery, keep nails short and tie long hair back.
- Tell the instructor about any injury or condition that may affect training.
What's next
- Take your time. There is no obligation to continue after the free class.
- If it feels right, train with us every Wednesday and Friday, year-round.
- Fees are reduced on the basis of need — nobody is turned away for lack of means.
- Progress at your own pace through gradings. Your only competitor is yourself.
